This winter

I was looking for a sentence or two to describe this winter. I came up with the following sentence which I then posted on Twitter. This winter feels like the first night after your lover has left – cold and endless.

The time I have to write at this time is only enough for the shortest pieces of writing.

Call to duty

I was unexpectedly called away from writing to do some teaching. The University of Phoenix had indicated they were no longer going to employ part-time people in the areas I was teaching. Apparently, they are short of full-time staff and asked if I wanted to teach writing course. I love teaching people how to express themselves through their writing, so I accepted the course. It means for the next few weeks any postings are likely to be sparse.
