Working

The move to a new home has shown me I cannot keep all the demands on my time. I will probably return here rarely as I must continue work on the next novel.

New home

We are in our new home, but the move is far from over. There is a ton of unpacking left to do. I hope to get back to my writing as soon as possible.

MRI update

The VA contacted me yesterday. After reviewing the MRI, they want me to go to the Mayo Clinic. Any possible solution to my problems is too complex for the government doctors. I know nothing about the timing at this point.

MRI

I had yet another MRI earlier this week. The results are going to a neurosurgeon and neurologist to see if there is anything more that can be done to help me. My problem is no longer pain but slowly everything below my waist is going numb.  However, that information is just background for my question. Have you ever had an MRI? What did you think of it? Because they are imaging my lower back, it has the effect of heating my body. I came out of the MRI tunnel soaking wet from sweat. Did you ever experience that? It makes sense that that would happen because they are moving every molecule in the region they are imaging and that creates heat. What did you think of the MRI tunnel? Are you claustrophobic? I think it is just to compare our experiences! Grin.

My plates too full

In the midst of preparing to move, I had my normal six months physical at the VA. They are going to do an MRI to see if any further surgery would be of value to me. I had to laugh to myself. As if my plate was not full enough, it was just added to it – grin.

Practice novels

In trying to get ready to move, I am going through old boxes and packing new ones. I have found seven of what I would consider to be practice novels. None of them were ever marketed to either an agent or a publishing company. That is why I call them practice novels. Who knows what else I will find – grin!
